Darren Greer is the author of five novels and a book of essays. He has been nominated for numerous awards, and won the Thomas H. Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award for his novel Just Beneath My Skin (Cormorant Books 2015) , the ReLit Award for Still Life With June (St. Martin’s Press 2005) and the Dartmouth Book Award for Advocate (Cormorant Books 2017) . He has been twice nominated for the Ferro-Grumley award in the U.S. His short fiction and poetry have appeared in magazines across North America and Europe. He has been teaching creative writing seminars for almost twenty years and focuses his talks on the fears and insecurities writers must conquer when writing and publishing fiction. His fifth novel Outcast will be self-published in the fall of 2018.
William Kowalski is the author of fourteen books, including the international best-seller EDDIE’S BASTARD (HarperCollins, 1999), winner of the 1999 Rosenstein Award and the 2001 Ama-Boeke Award, and a #5 Times of London best-seller; SOMEWHERE SOUTH OF HERE (HarperCollins, 2001), also a Times of London best-seller; THE ADVENTURES OF FLASH JACKSON (HarperCollins, 2003), an alternate selection of the Book-of-the-Month Club; and THE HUNDRED HEARTS (Thomas Allen/Dundurn in Canada, self-published elsewhere), winner of the 2014 Thomas H. Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award. He is also the author of seven works of fiction for new adult readers, called Rapid Reads, which are published by Orca/Raven books, and which have been nominated for four Ontario Library Association Golden Oak Awards. His work has been translated into fifteen languages. Over the past 20 years he has given numerous talks and workshops on writing and publishing to diverse groups, and is also an experienced adult educator and instructional designer. He is the founder of My Writing Network, a multisite network that allows writers of all types to create their own free websites with the support of a like-minded community. His most recent work is THE BEST POLISH RESTAURANT IN BUFFALO, a self-published, crowd-funded book based on the true life story of his great-grandmother.
